If it's any consolation I bought a brand new vehicle at the end of August and the cable connecting the gas pedal fell off in November. I was very happy to have the warranty and AAA Plus Gold since I was 60 miles from the dealership on an interstate when it happened. Thankfully, mine was fixed the next day so no loaner.
