Easy Recipe of the Week

Sweet and Savory Tuna Steaks (serves 2)

1/2 cup ponzu sauce
1/2 cup unpacked brown sugar
1 tablespoons lemon juice
2 albacore tuna steaks
2 basil leaves, finely chopped
2 tablespoons pesto

In a small bowl, mix ponzu, brown sugar, basil and lemon juice. Please tuna steaks in a large ziploc bag. Pour marinade into bag, seal then flip bag so the marinade covers all sides of tuna. Let tuna marinate approximately 20 minutes flipping bag over ever 5 minutes.

Heat grill to medium-high heat. Wrap tuna in foil allowing a small air hole at the top. Cook on the grill until cooked through, approximately 8-10 minutes.

Place tuna steaks on a plate and spoon pesto over each steak.

*Feel free to taste your marinade and add more lemon or brown sugar to taste. In a pinch teriyaki can be used as the marinade.
